A Proud day for Wollongong Chapter

Wednesday, June 14 2017

Immediate Past Worthy Matron Sister Joan Nethery and Immediate Past Worthy Patron Brother Ronald Nethery of Wollongong Chapter No 59 in partnership with RW Brother Brian Willis Regional  Masonicare Manager, Region 3 presented a cheque for $3000.00 to Mr David Green representative for Parkinson’s NSW Illawarra. The presentation took place at our Annual Luncheon held on Sunday 7th May in the OES Hall Wollongong which was attended by over 90 Members and visitors.

‘Parkinson’s Disease’ was the chosen charity for Sister and Brother Nethery’s term of office and thanks to the wonderful generosity and efforts of members throughout their term the amount of $1500.00 was raised. Application was made to Masonicare for an ‘Interaction Grant’ that would match the amount raised which was successful giving us a total of $3000.00.

Wollongong Chapter have been the successful recipients of the ‘Interaction Grant’ from Masonicare on three occasions now which have benefited Ostomy Care NSW, Alzheimer’s and now Parkinson’s Disease and has been a tremendous boost to the charity involved. We can’t thank’ Masonicare’ enough for their continued support and assistance.

Wollongong Chapter endeavour to ensure our donations remain and benefit charities in our local area.
